Abstract
This study aims to examine the development, feasibility, and effectiveness of teaching materials for hikayat texts by utilizing a website as a platform for collecting assignments and accessing learning materials in Class X at SMA Islam Azizi. The research involved 18 students as the population and sample, selected through saturated sampling techniques. Employing a mixed-method approach with both qualitative and quantitative data, this research adopted a Research and Development (R&D) design using the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Dissemination) developed by Thiagarajan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The findings demonstrate that the hikayat text teaching materials were evaluated as “very appropriate,” with material experts assigning a validity score of 95%, media experts assigning 87%, and teachers assigning 93%. Students responded positively, with an average score of 91.22%, while learning achievement outcomes reached 91%, both categorized as “very effective.” These results suggest that the integration of website-based learning resources significantly enhances the feasibility and effectiveness of teaching hikayat texts. Accordingly, this study concludes that website-based hikayat teaching materials are both valid and effective, offering a reliable model for modernizing literary education in secondary schools.
