Abstract

This study aims to improve the numeracy skills of second-grade students of UPT SPF SDN 104235 Naga Timbul by using counting board media on the material of the concept of arithmetic operations. This study uses qualitative research methods by conducting observations and documentation. Participants in this study were second-grade homeroom teachers and second-grade students of UPT SPF SD Negeri 104235 Naga Timbul. Based on the results of observations and documentation that I observed, it was seen that the results of student responses reached 95%. so from these results the use of counting board media on the material of the concept of arithmetic operations of second-grade students was good. This can be seen from the aspect of students' feelings of pleasure and interest in learning, because they felt interested and involved in the learning process. This study shows that counting board media can be an alternative effective learning method in improving students' numeracy skills.
