Abstract

This research entitled The Effect of CMC (Card Match Circle) Media on Student Learning Outcomes in Science Learning in Grade IV of SDN 101928 Rantau Pamjang, is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in science learning, particularly regarding changes in the state of matter. These are caused by: 1) Students are sometimes unmotivated to learn science, resulting in boredom; 2) Students are less active in science learning; 3) Teachers face difficulties in teaching, with students often failing to understand if not explained repeatedly; and 4) Most teaching methods rely on lectures and assignments, resulting in students' lack of interest in learning science. Therefore, the researcher conducted a study using CMC (Card Match Circle) media in science learning. The research problem is: What is the effect of CMC (Card Match Circle) media on student learning outcomes in science lessons on changes in the state of matter in grade IV of SDN 101928 Rantau Panjang. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. This experimental design is a development of the true experimental design. The analytical methods used were validity and reliability tests, normality tests, and homogeneity tests. The sample consisted of all fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 101928 Rantau Panjang. The sample consisted of 40 students selected using a nonprobability sampling technique with total sampling/saturated sampling. The analysis revealed an average pretest score of 40, while the average posttest score was 86.95. This indicates that CMC learning media has an impact on student learning outcomes in science learning in fourth-grade students at SDN 101928 Rantau Panjang.
