Internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Keislaman dalam Pembentukan Karakter Da’I pada Siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Binjai

Abstract
This study aims to examine the internalization of Islamic values in shaping the character of da’i (Islamic preachers) among students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Binjai as a response to the challenges of globalization and the digital information era. Islamic Education at MAN Binjai serves not only as a medium for knowledge transfer but also as a means of character development rooted in Islamic values through teacher role modeling, religious habituation, and structured da’wah activities. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach conducted from March to June 2024. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving three Islamic Education teachers, two da’wah mentors, and ten students who actively participated in religious activities. The findings indicate that the internalization of Islamic values serves as the foundation for developing religious and integrity-based personalities. The formation strategy focuses on strengthening religious knowledge, enhancing public communication skills, and utilizing social media as an innovative platform for da’wah activities. The study highlights that MAN Binjai has successfully nurtured a generation of young da’i who are moderate, adaptive, and persuasive in addressing contemporary da’wah challenges. This model demonstrates how Islamic value internalization within educational institutions can respond effectively to the evolving socio-religious context of the digital age.
