Pengaruh Literasi Informasi terhadap Kecerdasan Spiritual Siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Wampu Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of information literacy on the spiritual intelligence of students at SMA Negeri 1 Wampu, Langkat Regency. Information literacy is one of the essential skills in facing the digital era that is saturated with information, while spiritual intelligence serves as the foundation for character building and moral values among students. The study employed a quantitative approach using the ex post facto method, involving 78 students selected from a population of 358 through probability sampling. The research instrument was a four-point Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, and data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed a positive and significant effect of information literacy on students’ spiritual intelligence. The higher the level of students’ information literacy, the better their ability to understand values, meaning, and life purpose. These findings indicate that strengthening information literacy in schools not only enhances academic competence but also contributes to character education development. Therefore, this research can serve as a basis for schools to design educational policies that integrate information literacy with the cultivation of students’ spiritual and moral values.
