Abstract

This article examines the business development strategies of Bakso Mas Azis, a local meatball enterprise operating in Nagan Raya Regency, amid increasing competition in the culinary sector. The study addresses the central problem of how small-scale food businesses can enhance competitiveness and ensure sustainability in a dynamic market environment. A qualitative research design was employed using a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the business owner, direct field observations, and analysis of relevant business documents. The findings reveal that Bakso Mas Azis possesses considerable growth potential supported by product acceptance and local market demand. Key development strategies identified include improving product quality, diversifying menu offerings, adopting digital marketing to expand market reach, and optimizing supply chain management and operational efficiency. These strategies collectively contribute to strengthening business performance and competitive positioning. The study concludes that systematic and well-planned development strategies are essential for sustaining micro and small culinary enterprises. This research provides practical insights for business owners, policymakers, and stakeholders seeking to support local economic development in the culinary industry.
