Perbandingan Hasil Belajar Siswa Menggunakan Tes Lisan dan Tes Tertulis pada Pelajaran Fisika Materi Tata Surya di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ketambe Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara

Abstract
Physics learning at SMP Negeri 1 Ketambe still uses written tests in the learning process. According to the author, this written test does not guarantee that the scores obtained are purely from the students' own thoughts and the results of the written test are also somewhat doubtful in working on the questions because students can cheat such as cheating. Therefore, it is recommended to use oral tests because with oral tests, the abilities and levels of knowledge possessed by students can be assessed. This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes which are better between students who are given written tests and students who are given oral tests in Physics lessons on the main material of the Solar System in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Ketambe, Southeast Aceh Regency. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Ketambe from July 30 to August 3, 2025. The research method used is an experiment with a research design of giving questions orally and in writing. Sampling was done using a positive sample technique. The research sample was taken from two classes. The experimental class consisted of 22 students and the control class consisted of 22 students. The instrument used to measure learning outcomes was an essay test consisting of 10 questions. Analysis of oral and written test data for both groups used an independent t-test. The data from the hypothesis calculation obtained t count = 0.972 and t table at a significance level of 0.05 of 2.021, so t count < t table. From the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that there are differences in the learning outcomes of students who take part in learning using oral tests and written tests on the Solar System material for class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Ketambe.
